This week, celebrating my very good friend's birthday, I bought 2 tickets to Avenue Q musical (check the web here) and it turned out to be a hit. The show itself is funny and gives you a chance to laugh out loud more than once during those 2h15min. And the actors, with their body language and face mimics give life to the furry puppets à la Sesame Street. This combined with very good texts, pointing out the irony of life, amounts to comic feast.
The only criticism is that the plot line itself may not be deep and complex, but after all, that is not why we go to see a musical.
To sum up: solid fun and worth the £20 per ticket.
After the musical ended, me and my friend, thirsty of adventures, we decided to hit the bars of Covent Garden. And let me tell you : middle of the week is the time to go out in London - no crowds, happy hours and half-prizes and, above all, relaxed bartenders who have time to flirt with you! Much more enjoyable than any weekend evening in this city.
