One of my lectures this week was about the theory of feminism in International Relations. It is a broad topic and I won't even try to summarize it here. For those of you who are interested in having a deeper insight I strongly recommend reading Cynthia Enloe's books. This time Wikipedia does not seem to provide any reliable articles...
But to the point. This post is not about the theory of feminism but about my feminism in its most practical aspects.
Let me propose a sort of manifesto here, that will summarize my views on how to be a practical feminist:
1. Do not struggle against men (or women). That is sad, exhausting and unnecessary. It takes your mind of yourself and your loved ones.
2. Do not let any men humiliate you. In fact do not let anyone humiliate you. Invest in yourself and the ones you love. Respect yourself and earn respect of others.
3. Teach your children to respect others, men and women alike.
It may seem simple or even simplistic but it will make your life much happier than the feminist prescriptions and it will eventually solve any problems that may still exist.
Bottom-up my friends, that's what I always say!

Seems so very simple yet so many people cannot fathom it.
Great manifesto :)
